To our First-Time Visitors:
Welcome! If this is your first time browsing around on our website we’re pleased you have taken the time to check us out. You may be asking yourself, who or what is ASID?
ASID is a community of people driven by a common love for design and committed to the belief that Interior Design, as a service to people, is a powerful, multi-faceted profession that can positively change people’s lives.
Should you have any questions after you have finished your tour of our site, please drop us a line by clicking on “Contact Us” at the bottom of this page and we will be happy to get back to you.
To the Membership at Large:
As of October 1st, the 2009-2010 fiscal year has begun. It is with great optimism and enthusiasm that the Board looks ahead to the coming year. Constant through the many changes and shifts in 2009 has been our Chapter’s commitment to support its members and to continue to move forward.
Appropriately, our State’s motto is “Forward.” We have a strong work ethic in Wisconsin and it is on that basis that we have been able to maintain our momentum. Along with our innate sense of dedication, if we all make a concerted effort to get involved, the Chapter will remain the strong organization that it is. By reaching out to our fellow members, staying connected, and being fully engaged, we will continue to grow and reap the benefits of being part of ASID.
On the “business end” of things, our three-year Strategic Plan was generated from information gathered from the survey sent to all Wisconsin Chapter members this past spring. We also received input from individuals from each of our membership categories who attended the two strategic planning sessions held in May.
The Strategic Plan’s focus is:
- To engage all members to utilize the organization’s benefits and resources;
- To improve the effectiveness of Chapter Communications;
- To establish and implement a Chapter Public Relations Strategy; and
- To emphasize and improve Chapter Benefits.
I would like to personally extend an open and sincere invitation to each of you to contact me with any thoughts, suggestions or ideas that you may have as the year progresses.
I will look for each of you at our upcoming events and wish us all a successful, fulfilling and rewarding year for new and ongoing members alike!
Sincerely,
Wendy Schaffer, ASID & WRID
The Wisconsin Chapter of ASID President
