2012 Committees and Chairpersons

  1. Website editor: Revise/edit information and locate images to be placed on the website.

  2. Special Event Correspondents: Volunteers that will take pictures, write a short synopsus of the event, include a quote from student or professional, and write a blurb. (we will help you create a format to help assist you when participating and capturing information at the event).

  3. Eblast editor and image: Read and proof read all eblasts.

  4. Social Media specialist: Communicate events, information, sending out reminders, for the following social media websites: LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter (please note we are looking for one volunteer per social media website).

  5. Video Editor: Record multiple web-videos, ex: President’s Message.

  6. Association Liason: This person will be in charge of creating and maintaining relationships with allied organizations, for example: NARI, MBA, MABA, AIA, IPA, NKB, etc.
  7. Volunteer Center Representative: an individual that will continually partner with all committee members to ensure all volunteer positions are being posted, post volunteer positions on our website, and post help assign positions as needed.

  8. Photo Gallery curator: Individual in charge of pictures from events, captions, and identifying individuals in photographs, create a structure for the page on the website.

  9. Membership Retention committee: 5-6 volunteers to assist in the retention, support and recognition of our members. Project work to include contacting suspended members, recognizing our volunteers and their contributions during the year and congratulating Advancing members among other projects. The time commitment will vary from project specific to a year long commitment and will typically be a few hours a week. I would like a representative from all categories to represent their fellow members so we can support our members well- being as professionals.

  10. New Member Recruitment Committee: 3-4 Volunteers to assist in the recruitment of ASID members. Project work will vary from project specific to a year long and will take a few hours per week. I would like a representative from all categories to be a resource for future members so we can support our/their well-being as professionals.

  11. Emerging Professionals Committee: 4-5 Volunteers to work on the development of programs specifically for our Emerging Professionals (those members 1-5 years out from graduation). This is the first year of this new committee implemented by National so many great things can be developed for our Emerging Professional member’s well-being. The time commitment will vary from project specific to a year long commitment and will typically be a few hours a week.
